On-Street Residential Charge point Scheme
The purpose of the On-Street Residential Charge point Scheme is to enable local authorities to help residents without off-street parking enjoy the benefits of electric vehicles by installing on the street charge points.
It provides funding of up to £7,500 towards a charge point & is designed to provide the charging infrastructure for drivers who can’t have a home charging point because they have no off-street parking.
Funds are made available to local authorities to install the charging infrastructure. The scheme is funded by the Office for Low Emissions Vehicles (OLEV) and run by the Energy Savings Trust (EST).
Funding is available for up to 75% of the capital costs of procuring & installing the charge point & an associated dedicated parking bay.
